Anglaspis is one of the most primitive of the heterostracans , and is almost completely covered by large bony plates and large bony scales. It is from the Lower Devonian Period.


Gemuendina was an early placoderm species from the seas of Early Devonian Germany.


Hemicyclaspis is an extinct genus of primitive jawless fish, that lived in the Devonian period in what is now Europe and North America.

Arandapsis is one of the earliest known vertibrates.

It was a fish that had no fins and a jawless mouth.

Found in 1959 in Australia in 500 Million Year Old marine sandstone.


Pteraspis was a genus of jawless fishlike vertebrate found as fossils in Early Devonian rocks ( 387 to 408 million years old) in North America and Europe.


Drepanaspis is

an extinct species of primitive jawless fish from the Early Devonian


Bothriolepis was a genus of antiarch placoderms that
lived in the Middle and Late Devonian (387–360 million years ago).
